I started my Tae Kwon Do journey in 1989 at age 10, studying under Grandmaster Chong Hyon Chay. I took to Tae Kwon Do immediately, and went to class every opportunity I got. I earned my 4th Dan black belt with him. Upon his retirement, I moved to the Central Wisconsin area to raise a family. I eventually found Master Nathan Halama, and together we trained, studied, and tested together. I now hold the rank of 6th Dan black belt.
Tae Kwon Do has changed my life. It has given me confidence, integrity, and a sense of purpose in all that I do. It affects much more than what you can accomplish within the confines of the dojang. This martial art will provide you with the skills and abilities to become a source of inspiration and leadership within your community. I can't wait to share what I've learned with every student that walks through the doors to Legacy Martial Arts.
